What is Endermologie®?
Endermologie® is an FDA approved non-surgical treatment for men and women to remove cellulite by detaching the fat off the connective tissue. This stimulates lymphatic drainage causing cellulite and other wastes to safely travel out of the body through excretion.
Endermologie® is a safe, non-surgical, comprehensive approach to body contouring. It embraces the physical and aesthetic needs of your whole body. Endermologie® is the break down of the fatty connective tissue that causes cellulite. Once broken down, the cellulite is eliminated through lymphatic drainage. Invented in France, 19 years ago and introduced in the USA in 1996, as the worlds first FDA approved treatment to remove cellulite. This non-surgical treatment involves the use of a motorized device with two adjustable rollers and controlled aspiration, which creates a symmetrical skin-fold. The skin gently folds and unfolds under the continuous action of the rollers allowing for smooth and regulated deep tissue mobilization. As the viscosity of the subcutaneous fat layer decreases, blood flow and lymphatic drainage increase, facilitating the elimination of excess body fluids and metabolites such as "cellulite".

Who Is Affected by Cellulite?

Cellulite affects 90% of all women, while the male population is plagued with love handles. This dimpling appearance of the skin, other wise known as the "orange-peel effect" involves the enlargement of fat cells and the retention of fluid. As these fat cells increase in size, their membranes become distorted and lose their shape causing visible changes in both the quality and texture of the skin. This process is further exacerbated by microcirculation impairment and the build–up of the toxins within the connective tissue. Diet and exercise can not reduce the unsightly appearance of cellulite, because it must be addressed at the subcutaneous layer. Whereas both diet and exercise affect deeper fat, they fail to remedy the underlying cause of cellulite found within the superficial tissue of your skin. Many women who exercise regularly and follow low fat diets still have cellulite.

  Hormones
Special importance is placed on hormonal factors (estrogen, folliculine, etc.), since cellulite develops mainly in women during periods of hormonal change, such as puberty, pregnancy, menopause, premenstrual syndrome, and the initial months on birth control pills. Hormones are responsible for regulating the changes in blood flow, lymphatic drainage, fat, and connective tissue, all of which play a role in the formation of cellulite.

  Lifestyle: Diet & Exercise
Cellulite forms as a result of complex physiological changes to the subcutaneous fat layer, despite attempts to exercise regularly and follow a well-balanced diet. However, without a healthy lifestyle, the overall appearance of existing cellulite can worsen over time due to weight gain, poor nutrition, and inadequate water intake.

  Age
Aging results in a loss of thickness and tone of the connective tissue within the dermis and the superficial fat layer. The outcome is a more visible and flabby cellulite.

  What results can I expect?
You will most likely notice an improvement in your skin tone. The appearance of stretch marks and loose skin may be improved. Many patients report that they are able to lose weight more easily while in treatment.

Do cellulite treatments replace diet and exercise?
No. We highly recommend that you add diet and exercise to your daily routine while you are undergoing cellulite treatments. For most patients this improves results.

How is Endermologie® different from Liposuction?
Endermologie® is not a surgical procedure. Treatments do not involve breaking the skin in any way.

How soon will I see results?
Usually patients notice changes within 7 or 8 sessions. However, 25 is the average number of treatments recommended for maximum results.

How many cellulite treatments can I have in one week?
Two cellulite treatment sessions per week are recommended. For those on a diet, or in the process of losing a significant amount of weight, or those with long-term problematic cellulite, one treatment a week is recommended if proper nutrition is maintained.

How long does each session last?
Treatment sessions last about 35 minutes. We focus on your problem areas, but time is given to other areas to stimulate circulation and fatty acid elimination.

Who are the best candidates for cellulite treatments?
The best candidates for Endermologie® are men and women who are:

  - In good health
- Have good skin tone
- Have realistic expectations
